Family Meet-Ups

Saint George's Book Club

It's not really a book club in the traditional sense. There's no agenda or facilitator. And there are probably some kids crawling around. But it's a good opportunity for moms to meet and talk about good books their kids have been enjoying. You might make arrangements to borrow or trade books from each other that the library does not carry.

The Fall Book Club will meet at Katie Lamb Library in Collegedale at 2:45pm on the second Thursday of the month:

October 8
November 12

Screen Free Family Fun

Screen-Free Family Fun (SF3) is a time for kids to play outdoors and for adults to make connections. Most institutions today require apps and a screen to participate. SF3 is a chance to build family networks that have opted-out of screen-based life. SF3 doesn't have much to do with books, but it might be a good venue for a book trade.

Summer 2026 SF3 are Saturday mornings, 10:00-12:00.
June 13th at Wildwood Playscape at Brainerd Area South
July 11th at Thatcher Switch Recreational Area. We will walk on the greenway around 10:15
August 22nd at Heritage Park
